Dalton Lin is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Before joining Georgia Tech, he was a research associate at Princeton University with the Princeton-Harvard China and the World Program. His research has been published in The China Quarterly and Survival and in edited volumes, including “The Political Economy of China’s ‘Belt and Road Initiative’” (in China’s Political Economy in the Xi Jinping Epoch: Domestic and Global Dimensions (Lowell Dittmer (ed.), 2021)) and “China’s Soft Power Over Taiwan” (in Soft Power with Chinese Characteristics (Ying Zhu, Kingsley Edney, and Stanley Rosen (eds.), 2019)). He also authored the Carter Center China Program’s 2015 report on China’s “One Belt, One Road” project. Between 2019 and 2022, he was the co-principal investigator of Minerva Program grant number N00014-19-1-2474.
