Emily Caston is Professor of Screen Industries at the University of West London, UK. She is author of Soho’s Screen Industries: A British History (2022), Art, Authenticity and Authorship in Music Video: British Music Videos 1966-2016 (2020), and Celluloid Saviours: Angels and Reform in Hollywood Film (2010). She is Principal Investigator of a research project funded by the British Academy and Leverhulme Trust titled An Archaeology of Screen Advertising Production in Britain 2021-22, and she previously led an AHRC funded research project on the British Music Video industry 1966-2016.
