Denise J. Youngblood is Professor of History Emerita at the University of Vermont, USA. She is the author of several books, including Bondarchuk’s War and Peace: Literary Classic to Soviet Cinematic Epic (2014), Cinematic Cold War: The American and Soviet Struggle for Hearts and Minds (2010; with Tony Shaw) and Repentance: The Film Companion (Bloomsbury, 2001; with Jospehine Woll).
