Gary Totten is Professor English at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA and the editor-in-chief of the journal MELUS: Multiethnic Literature of the United States. He has published numerous books and essays on late nineteenth- and twentieth-century US literature, travel writing, and multiethnic US literature. His most recent edited book is Companion to the Multiethnic Literature of the United States (2024).
