Biography

Kelley Van Dyck Murphy is Assistant Professor at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Washington University in St. Louis, USA, and a principal in the St. Louis based architecture practice, AVV A. Her research engages themes of identity, authorship, and context by investigating how materiality is entwined with larger cultural narratives. Work and teaching around this subject explore the use of the disciplinary tools of architecture to reveal histories, construct new narratives, or imagine futures.
