Wilken Engelbrecht renewed Dutch studies in Bratislava (SK) and Olomouc (CZ). At present, he is head of the Chair of Dutch Studies in Olomouc and of the Chair for Dutch language in Lublin, Poland (KUL), both as Professor of Dutch Philology. His research concerns mainly the reception of Dutch and Flemish literature in Czech translation.
