Emrys D. Jones is a Senior Lecturer in English Literature at King’s College, London, UK. His publications include Friendship and Allegiance in Eighteenth-Century Literature (2013) and he is co-editor of Intimacy and Celebrity in Eighteenth-Century Literary Culture (with Victoria Joule 2018) and La Représentation et la Réinvention des Espaces de Sociabilité au cours du long XVIIIe siècle (with Annick Cossick 2021). He has written articles and book chapters on a broad range of topics relating to intersections of public and private life in the long eighteenth century. He also hosted the podcast Pop Enlightenments (2017-2020) from which the proposed volume arises. Dr Jones is co-editor of the journal Literature & History and general reviews editor of the Journal for Eighteenth-Century Studies.
